started in 1971 when I purchased Windswept Wicked Marguerita, who
attained her Am. Championship quickly. Marguerita recieved 3 Majors and
a Hound Group 2. "Margy" had effortless sidegait, which
is the cornerstone of Echovesna's breeding program.
Marguerita was breed to CH. Loral's Urahna Khan. This union produced four Champions. Echovesna was on its way.
As time passed, I had bred and/or owned 66 Champion Borzoi, including a Best-In-Show Specialty winning dog, CH. P.O.S.H. Echovesna Islaev, "Sly". Also, Echovesna has had specialty and group placing dogs.
Some kennels that have used Echovesna's dogs to compliment their own breeding programs include: Nonsuch, Kishniga, Tahoe, Windrift, Auroral, Blackmoor and Chihawk.
My work career also began in 1971, where I taught Art for Bratenhal Local Exempted Schools and Cleveland Metropolitan Schools. I retired July 1, 2011, after working 40 years. In addition to my teaching degree, I am a certified counselor with a Masters Degree in Education.
I was awarded The Midwest Borzoi Club Breeder Award in 1990. I was interviewed for the Borzoi Quarterly Magazine in 1993.
I am a member of The Borzoi Club Of America, The Midwest Borzoi Club and The Western Reserve Kennel Club.
I have been Show Chairman and on the Board for Western Reserve Kennel Club and Midwest Borzoi Club.
I am currently an approved A.K.C. Judge for Borzoi and German Shepherd Dogs.
